Disappointingly tiny and low-set
The Odoland Portable Camping Fire Pit with Detachable Cooking Grate has unfortunately, not lived up to my expectations owing to its surprisingly smaller size. The product images listed on Amazon are misleading, and even when attempting to gauge the size using a ruler and the listed dimensions, the actual size can still be miscalculated. Upon unpacking and assembling the received product, I realized its petite dimension. Contrary to the slightly rectangular appearance in photographs, it is in fact square.
The instructions mention a locking mechanism at the base, where the two bottom plates secure together. However, this is not the case as I found no such locking system. There are a couple of slots on one plate that connect with two tongues on the other, but they don't securely click into place.
While the firepit has an ample number of ventilation holes to sustain the flames, it also inadvertently allows for ashes and cinders to fall onto the ground. There is no ash tray or a fire-resistant mat included for protecting

Perhaps you could place bricks or a tin beneath it, but that's additional load to lug around when the whole point of this BBQ is it's compactness. I realize the size specifications are in the product details, but when it's shown next to people in the pictures, it appears a lot larger - rather misleading.
